Unity1 Account Terms and Conditions

I/We hereby affirm that I am aware and cognizant of my rights under the relevant laws on Data Protection in Nigeria, particularly the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation, 2019 which include the right to object to the processing of my Personal Data or the right to request for access, amendment, rectification of my Personal Data/information as well as the right to withdraw my consent to use of my Personal Data/information or lodge complaint with the relevant authority for infringement on such rights. In line with provisions of the relevant laws on Data Protection in Nigeria, I, in the absence of any fraud, duress, undue influence or coercion whatsoever, hereby consent to the collection and processing of my Personal Data/information by Unity Bank Plc (the Bank) for the purpose of my banking relationship with the Bank and other necessary data processing activities which may arise therefrom, including for my operation of a bank account with the Bank and other ancillary purposes that the Bank may consider to be beneficial to my banking needs. I further consent to the processing of my Personal Data (within or outside Nigeria), including transfer of my Personal Data to any third party for reasons associated with the purpose for which the data is being processed as stated above, including but not limited to data collection , processing and storage. I affirm that I have the requisite capacity under the law to consent to the collection and processing of my Personal Data.

INDEMNITY

I/we hereby indemnify Unity Bank plc in full against any action, claim, proceeding, loss, expense or damages arising howsoever from this account or representations made by me/us in respect of this account or for whatsoever in connection with this account. I/we further confirm that all my dealings in respect of this account shall not be contrary to any subsisting law or regulation in force whether in Nigeria or any other country.

Terms And Conditions (Tier 1 Accounts)

1. The operation of the account is limited to a maximum single deposit amount of N50,000 and maximum cumulative balance of N300,000 at any point in time.
2. The maximum daily deposit prior to account upgrade is N30,000.
3. The daily transaction limit prior to transaction limit upgrade is N3,000.
4. Account holder will be required to provide further documents at any point in time when transacting above the regulated threshold.
5. International funds transfer is prohibited.
6. The account is strictly savings.
7. Account holder will be issued a debit card.
8. NDIC maximum insured deposit cover for exact deposition is N500,000.
